Tara's B-Day

For my 30th birthday Mike planned a surprise trip to San Francisco! Jana went with Joe & Marilyn and Adam stayed with Diane. We stayed in a really nice room and found a lot of great resturants. It was nice to eat great food and talk instead of keeping track of the kids. We walked around the wharf where we saw sea lions and then biked from there, across the bridge and down into Sausalito. Sausalito was sunny and I was proud that we made it. We took a ferry back to the city and got some Ghirardelli Chocolate just to make sure we didn't burn too many calories!

We walked on the beach and through Golden Gate Park. It was a nice clear and sunny day and the cold water felt perfect on our feet.

We toured Alcatraz at night and had a great view of the city from the island. Just before we left we went through the Modern Museum of Art. One sculpture was frozen so we had to wear blankets and walk into a freezer to see it. It was a great trip!
